macOS security notice

This first version is distributed as a ZIP and is not yet signed by Apple. Therefore, macOS may say it cannot verify the developer the first time you open it.

Download the client only from this site. Do not disable Gatekeeper or run copies received from unknown sources.

macOS: launch from Terminal

Open the ZIP for your Mac processor in Downloads and move Zealot Client.app to Applications.
Open Terminal and run these commands in order. Keep Terminal open while you play.

xattr -dr com.apple.quarantine "/Applications/Zealot Client.app"
cd "/Applications/Zealot Client.app/Contents/Resources"
"../MacOS/Zealot Client"

These commands apply to both Apple Silicon and Intel. Use them only for the client downloaded from the official Zealot site. The app must be extracted from the ZIP and placed in Applications first. If Terminal reports a permission error on the first command, run that command again with sudo.

The client is already configured for Zealot: enter your email and password to play.

When you first log in, the client may show “Missing Assets” for version 15.11. Click Download and wait for the game graphics and sounds to finish installing. Keep the client open during this step. If login does not continue automatically, try again and select your character. This download is normally needed only once.
